A Silent Hill fan game for PC

Silent Hill: Little Baroness is a free adventure game for PC by indie dev Aaron Wise. It is a fan-made horror release that was inspired by the Silent Hill video game franchise that was first released back in the late 1990s for the PlayStation home gaming console.

Silent Hill: Little Baroness is just one of the many recent game developments and releases that were inspired by the iconic horror game series. Games like The Evil Within or Visage also employ a similar atmospheric and eerie presentation. They do come with much-improved and detailed graphics, though.

What is it about?

Silent Hill: Little Baroness takes place during the Silent Hill 4 timeline. It speaks of a ship called the "Little Baroness" that set off from Toluca Lake with 12 passengers aboard back in 1918. Due to an unknown failure, however, it sank and its wreckage was never recovered. It was finally recovered in 2001, but strange things start to happen across the town and neighboring areas of Silent Hill shortly thereafter.

An occult club at Ashfield High led by a girl named Tina decides to investigate the recovery site for themselves. What they found was not the Little Baroness, however, but the thing that took the ship down to the bottom of the lake. There are a total of five levels in the game currently spread across various locations to explore. Find clues, interact with objects, and slowly unravel the truth.

Before anything else, do note that this is a demo version of the game that contains about half of what the full release will be. It is still being actively developed. Thus, expect more to come in future updates. Despite that, though, you will be able to experience three possible endings in its current state. Here's to hoping development proceeds smoothly and we get to see a full release soon.

Brimming with potential

If you've been a long-time fan of the Silent Hill series, you might want to check Silent Hill: Little Baroness out. This little project is being done by a sole developer, and despite it being just a demo version, you wouldn't think that way when you play the game and the high level of polish that went into it. Try this one out and be pleasantly surprised. Recommended.
